CSU Gives Back: Join in the 2012 Colorado Combined Campaign

It's that time! The Colorado Combined Campaign is the one opportunity for CSU faculty and staff each year to support their favorite community charities — including United Way — via payroll deduction.

This year's campaign runs through the months of November and December, with a goal of raising $135,000 to help worthy non-profit organizations and people in need across Colorado. CSU Professor Temple Grandin is the Honorary Chair of CSU's Colorado Combined Campaign drive this year.

About the Campaign

This is the only charitable payroll deduction authorized by the state of Colorado, and it is designed to help state employees easily contribute to the charities of their choice. Colorado State University has been donating to the Colorado Combined Campaign since 2000 and has consistently been a statewide leader in contributing to agencies that benefit Colorado.

Here's how to participate:

  • You can choose to donate by check, cash, or credit card — but the easiest way is by automatic payroll deduction. If you choose payroll deduction, your first monthly contribution will begin January 1, 2013.
  • To donate online, visit: http://www.colorado.gov/ccc/. You will first need to register (even if you gave online last year, you have to register again — to protect donors' personal information, the Campaign requires a new registration for each donor every year).
  • Then you can either search the list of available charities from the more than 700 agencies participating in the Campaign — or browse through the 2012 Campaign Resource Guide to see what your options are. From there, the easy-to-follow online giving form will walk you through all necessary steps to make your gift. (A hard copy of the Campaign Resource Guide has been sent to each department office at CSU.)
  • Paper pledge forms were bundled and sent to each department office. If you did not receive a paper pledge form, please contact Katie Woodcox.

Privacy

Your decision to give through the Colorado Combined Campaign is personal and up to you. It is not a condition of employment at CSU, and information about who gives, who doesn't, and which charities you decide to support will not be shared with your department, division or co-workers. Please know that we respect your privacy, and whether you submit a hard copy donor form or give online, your personal information will only be seen by those involved with processing your giving request.

Giving incentives

In thanks to those who give back so much to our community, CSU faculty and staff who contribute to the Colorado Combined Campaign will have an opportunity to win some great incentive prizes. Prize drawings will be held at 5 p.m. on November 30 and December 28 — and everyone who has made a pledge by the time of the drawing will be eligible to win!
